Right as I got done with intense training for work, I got sick for several days. I still had to work anyway as we had too much that needed to be done, but fortunately I was able to leave early two days in there. And, we got all the invitations out on time. Woohoo! I was never more glad to see a week end though. I felt bad about how much sleeping in I did that weekend because I didn't feel sick enough to be in bed, but I just didn't feel well enough to be up and around.
Here is the picture of a current project that I promised. This is the beginning of a knit afghan made with a wool yarn that I'm no longer convinced that it's the greatest quality (like we were told). The project was started around Christmas and is going well so far, except for the fact that I am heartily sick of it. Yep, that small pattern may be rustic and nice looking, but it takes forever to make much progress. Although I suppose it doesn't help that I cast on 300 stitches to get enough width.
My plan is to knit until I run out of yarn or it gets too big (whichever comes first). I was kind of hoping to have it all finished by spring, but as today is the first day of spring, I guess that didn't happen. And, I will NOT give up on this project. That was my old self. My new self is going to finish all my projects. Haha!
